Precession and the ISS
- ISS: bright and interesting satellite notably affected by precession.
- In mid-inclination (51.6°) orbit due to Baikonaur position.
- High Wycombe also at about 51°N has ISS:
- Visible as evening object for a week or so.
- Only in daylight.
- Visible as morning object for a while.
- Only in Earth's shadow (middle of night).
- ...and round again.
- Closer to the equator they get four bites:
- Ascending/descending (north/south bound) passes.
- Morning and evening.
